Aging With Grace
An in-depth presentation of cherished long-term staples collected from dear friends and clients of Rose & Born.
A signature that only gets better
Aging suede
Our signature overshirt in butter-soft suede will only get better with each wear. The hide will mould to its owner and soften even further as it develops a rich patina along its seams and panels.
Shown here is an example that is approaching five years of wear.
Some people care for it with suede treatments, while others leave it untouched and let the material write its own history. Either way, the most important thing is that if you get caught in a rain shower, allow the garment to air dry on a proper hanger, then gently brush it once dry.
Beloved indigo
Our denim shirts have been an essential part of our collection for many years, and it is easy to understand why.
The garment shown here is nearing four years of wear, and the indigo has faded beautifully. The mid-weight cotton twill fabric allows for year-round wearability, while the collar offers an excellent roll, whether worn with or without a tie.
Over a decade aged grain leather
13 years and still running strong.
The bag pictured has travelled across the world, resulting in leather that has been beaten up, scarred, stretched, and treated with leather conditioner.
It is a bag that no longer feels like a product but rather a long-time friend.
A slow fade
Presented here are three pairs of jeans belonging to the same client, each at a different stage of wear: one week, one year, and four years.
The fabric has softened, the indigo has gradually faded, and the sun has left its mark on the denim. The beautiful thing about denim is the soul and personality it gains with every wear.
Nine years apart
A client's nearly nine-year-old belt, compared to his brand-new one.
Made from the same fine calf leather and solid brass hardware, it perfectly demonstrates how investing in quality pieces rewards you in the long run.
