Honoring our Swedish heritage, with a nod to Switzerland

The autumn and winter collection 2024 is a tribute to the different expressions of the countries, with inspiration from Switzerland’s snow-covered Alps and Sweden’s deep forests. Rose & Born has allowed these dynamic landscapes to merge and created a collection that is distinctly Rose & Born.

Half-Zip Cableknit Cashmere Sweater

The half-zip cable knit sweater draws inspiration from the socialites of the snow-covered Alps in the 1960s. We’ve updated the style with a sportier half-zip neckline and raglan shoulders for a modern twist.

There’s something about the blazer. It’s masculine yet refined, and flattering on the body: making shoulders appear broader and the waist narrower. Plus, with the pockets, you have somewhere to put your phone and keys. The blazer is a throw-on piece that’s relaxed but looks elegant: a garment for all seasons, depending on its materials and construction.

This season, we’ve fallen in love with the blazer again. We’ve woven them in autumnal solids and patterns such as twill, tweed, herringbone, checks, and flannel, as well as some delightfully decadent cashmere, too.

Cut in the house’s signature shape, with a soft shoulder and minimal structure for a light, comfortable feel. Colors are apt for the season: muted greens, sand, and nougat.

As for styling, tone-on-tone and layering is still a good idea. However, we also love the idea of a good blazer worn with flannels, jeans or a tracksuit on your way to the gym or tennis court.

The great thing about men’s outerwear is that the basic models have already been invented. We are not the ones to question the classic overcoat with wide lapels, the hooded puffer, the M65 jacket, or the shirt jacket, we rather fine-tune these classics to suit the life of a modern man.

This autumn’s outerwear collection is a ‘greatest hits’ of timeless favorites – pieces we’ve updated to suit the practical and aesthetic needs of the modern man, including styles made with water repellent materials from some of Italy’s most prestigious mills. The jackets, has down padding for the colder months and of course, we also couldn’t resist details such as raglan shoulders or a fur collar that’s on the right side of ostentatious – that look great after work in Stockholm, or après ski in Gstaad.

Our signature pieces get a fresh update this season. The overshirt, crafted from an Italian wool and cashmere blend, effortlessly blends luxury with function. Treated with a water-repellent coating, it fends off light rain while keeping its soft, inviting feel. Lightweight and unconstructed, it’s designed for ultimate comfort. Meanwhile, our signature vest is reimagined in soft wool with the same water-repellent finish, offering protection while preserving its cozy hand feel.

Chunky and Silky Knits

Autumn marks the arrival of new knits in store. A favourite is the merino and silk blend in a heavier crew neck or the iconic turtleneck – a piece that should be in every man’s wardrobe, ready to be worn with denim, a pair of flannels, or under a stylish blazer. For something more stealth, there are pure cashmere cable knits in subtle green and a warm sand. Finally, look out for the Fair Isle knits, perfect to pack for that upcoming ski trip or countryside weekend.

This season, we’re reviving a classic from the Rose & Born archives with a refreshed silhouette and updated length. The shearling coat is designed to maximize warmth and comfort by taking advantage of the natural properties of both leather and fur. The hide offers natural flexibility, molding to the wearer over time, while the finely trimmed fur retains warmth without sacrificing breathability, thanks to its porous texture.
